People often ask how we come up with adoption and sale prices, as there is quite a large range. We acquire horses in many different ways. Some we outright own while some are sent by their connections as a consignment. Consignment horse's prices are set by their owners and tend to be higher as most are homebreds with more off track experience, and their entire life history known. Our lay ups and adoptables are offered for a donation to the farm that most likely does not cover their expenses. These guys are just looking for a soft spot to land and a great home is the priority. Horses that are owned outright by us are priced fair with the current market, after evaluations on the ground and under saddle. We do not always have a full history so we do try to do our best to get to know these guys the best we can. If we have a soundness concern, we have them examined by a vet.
